🎓 How to Prepare for Your Graduation Photoshoot
Your moment, your story, your celebration — let's make it count.
Whether we’re shooting under the open sky or inside the studio, your graduation session is all about celebrating how far you’ve come. I want you to feel prepared, confident, and most importantly — like yourself. Here’s everything you need to bring (and a few things to leave behind) so your shoot goes smooth and stress-free.
âś… What to Bring
🧳 The Essentials
Cap, gown, stole, cords — the classics
Outfit options – Bring 1–2 backup fits just in case something doesn’t feel right
Shoes – Something stylish and something comfortable if we’re walking
Jewelry & Accessories – The details make the look
Touch-up kit – Lip balm, powder, oil blotting sheets, brush, etc.
Water – Especially for outdoor shoots. Hydration = glow.
Your phone – For inspo, music, or a quick mirror check
🌿 For Outdoor Shoots
Plan for weather – Bring a small towel, umbrella, or jacket just in case.
Avoid fresh haircuts the day before – They need time to settle in.
Dress for the location – We may be walking on grass, gravel, or pavement.
Don’t wear socks or accessories that leave marks — They’ll show up in early shots.
🏙️ For Studio Sessions
Arrive camera-ready – Hair and makeup should be done before arrival.
Keep your look cohesive – Solid colors work great with studio lights.
Bring pieces that pop – Statement earrings, a bold lipstick, or textured clothing
Expect direction – I’ll guide you through poses, lighting, and angles that flatter your vibe and features.
đź’ˇ Quick Tips to Make the Most of Your Session
Get rest the night before – You’ll feel and look better for it.
Eat something beforehand – Low energy always shows in the photos.
Arrive early or on time – It keeps everything smooth, especially if we’re chasing light.
Don’t overthink it – You’ve already done the hard part. This is the celebration.
🎓 Your Story Deserves to Be Seen
